Bring a cooler and check out our meat products. We have cuts of pork,
whole turkeys, chickens and rabbit. I will be glad to tell you how to cook

Saturday is here again and so is the Hartland Farmer’s Market. Since it is the third Saturday there will also
be garage sale vendors to visit. We have a lot of our pork products and the produce is starting to come in.
Our market will have our honey friends along with a few new vendors.

The wait is over! This Saturday May 1, 2010 the Hartland Farmer’s Market will be open. It runs every Saturday from 9am-1pm (rain or shine). Enjoy spring and come out!

Patricia spent a day at Herbruck’s Farm in Saranac, Michigan, where an Organic Seminar was held. She met some nice people and learned about weed and insect control among other things…

Our last free-range flock of the season will be processed on Friday, October 30th. We will be open at our farm on Saturday 10 A.M. to 6 P.M. for pick-up and also at the Brighton Farmers Market from 8 A.M. to 1 P.M. Chicken Livers also available.

It’s amazing how tiny seeds we plant in the Spring grow into huge (and heavy!) fruits and vegetables in just a few short months. We recently bought a new tractor. It has helped haul in all the onions, squash and other pesticide-free produce from our fields so we can pack them into our truck and bring [...]

The parking lot at the old Hartland High School is finished.  This means the Hartland Farmer’s Market will be moving back!  We will be closer to the building this time.   You may not see us right away from M-59 but we will be there, rain or shine.

Just a reminder: due to the Smokin’ Jazz Festival, the Brighton Farmer’s Market we will be located in the parking lot on Hyne Street (south side of Main St.) this week. We will be in the far back corner due to our need for electricity. Look for the big red trailer.

Our veggies are coming in well.  At our roadside stand we have a daily supply of  fresh picked items.  The prices are on a chalkboard attached to the tent above the table.   Our yellow summer squash is doing great.  The zucchini is still coming in.  The tomatoes are slowly ripening. We didn’t get home from the west side of Michigan until late tonight. The farms there had lots of storm damage and fruit was lost. But we were able to gather West Michigan’s finest fruit crops for the Brighton and Grand Blanc Farmers Markets this week: Red Haven Peaches, Early Gold Apples and three varieties of Plums. [...]
